History

Schneider Home Equipment Co. had its humble beginning in 1935.

Our first store was known as Schneider Hardware, and was located in

Fairmount, on Harrison Ave. We offered custom made wood storm windows

and doors, painted to any color. Later, we added custom wood awnings, also painted to match any color.

By the mid 50's, aluminum made its' appearance as the material of the

future, for windows, doors, and awnings. It was a big transition, moving from painted wood products, to the new maintenance free aluminum products. The changes were made and the company proceeded forward.

Ground was purchased for a new plant on Pippin Road, and the new

facility was constructed in 1955. Our Main Office and showroom are located here today.

We were always widely known as the "experts" in storm windows, doors

and awning products, and today we are known as experts in many other

products as well. This includes roofing, vinyl siding, glass and screen enclosures,

three and four season patio rooms, replacement windows, patio covers, gutters,

shutters and aluminum railing.
